Hypnosis saved my life. Seven years ago, I found a business card in a coffee shop in San Diego offering hypnosis sessions to quit smoking. I had tried everything else. These are hypnotic states. Psychiatrists theorize that the deep relaxation process in hypnosis actually calms and subdues the conscious mind, so that it takes a less active role in our thinking process. In this state, you’re still aware of what’s going on, but by allowing the conscious mind to take a back seat, you and the hypnotherapist work directly with the subconscious. For these reasons, hypnosis is a powerful tool that works with addictions, fear and anxiety, phobias, improves relaxation, athletic and intellectual performance, and more.

Because I’ve been there, I understand how smokers feel. And I continually witness how powerful the work is, so I continue to believe in it. It is life-changing when we allow ourselves to get out of the way and let the healing begin.
