No Halloween tricks–just treats
By Megan Gabel
To me, Halloween is synonymous with fun: choosing a costume, accumulating and then consuming lots of goodies that are bad for our teeth. Black is a traditional Halloween color. With Halloween rapidly approaching, why not adopt a black cat or a black dog? Adopting one of them now will make happy Halloween memories extend throughout the year. We have a number of black beauties for you to consider!
Billy, Luna, or Pedro poised elegantly (as cats are known to do) on your windowsill next to a Jack-o’-lantern is all you need to decorate for Halloween! Billy, a 10-year-old senior citizen, has been at the SPA for almost 2 years. He loves sitting on laps and soaking up attention. Two-year-old Luna is a delightful, sweet-natured, affectionate girl that gets along extremely well with all the other cats. Pedro is a nice, sweet, frisky boy, about 5 months old, who has developed a reputation of being one of our more affectionate cats. Billy, Luna, or Pedro would be perfect additions to your home at Halloween time and beyond.
Shy, Negrito, Rascalita, Mandy, and Cappy would be perfect picks for Halloween and the rest of the year! About 3-1/2 years old, Shy is a teddy bear of a dog, medium-large, beautiful, affectionate, and adorably playful. We’re thinking about renaming her “Formerly Shy” because she has blossomed so much in the last few months. Negrito, a little over a year old, is an energetic, enthusiastic, and curious medium-sized boy. He is a surprising mixture of independence, while seeking affection and approval. Rascalita, about Negrito’s age, has a beautiful, shiny black coat and a very pretty face with piercing, amber eyes. She’s exuberant, inquisitive, and very playful. Mandy, almost a year old, is a sweet and lovely beauty who savors getting petted and praised. Cappy, only 2 months old, is a tiny puppy just learning about the outside world. Any of these wonderful black lovely dogs will add light to your life well beyond the glow of a Halloween pumpkin.
