A talk about Tequila and mezcal.

Our national drink: culture, art and traditions around it!
September 19, 1:00pm

Tequila and mescal are words that attract both Mexican and foreigners alike. Tequila is a basic and fundamental part of our culture and tradition. Tequila and mezcal were consumed in ancient, pre-Hispanic times but the processes were more rudimentary. Some religious and miraculous properties were attributed to these drinks.

In this talk you will learn about the history, types, zones of production, diversity, conserving and process to produce tequila and mezcal.

In September Mexicans and foreigners feel the euphoria of an emerging and independent country ready to share their culture, food, drinks, traditions and legends. This talk is included in the Cantinas tour which will be celebrating on the same day September 19, 2012 after this talk.

The talk will be held by Alex Galina who holds a Tequila Master and Taster Certificate.
