CSEIS Opens at Fábrica La Aurora.

CSEIS (the former Espacio Kerlegand) in Fábrica La Aurora is proud to announce the opening of their Gallery.

CSEIS has painter Juan Diaz Durand, sculptor Fidelio Herrera and painter Victoria Pierce, who are pleased to welcome Ernesto de la Peña Folch. De la Peña was born in Mexico City in 1960. He has been painting since age eleven. His first teacher was painter Alfonso Durán.

De la Peña received a marketing and advertising diploma from “El Centro de Estudios de Ciencias de la Comunicación” in Mexico City and later studied painting and sculpture at the school of visual arts “Esmeralda.”
He worked as creative director and art director in advertising agencies and as an independent designer.

Ernesto moved to Toronto, Canada in 1989 and finished his fine art education at the Ontario College of Art and Design while working as a scenic artist with the National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians.

His artistic work has been shown in Canada at the Harbourfront Centre, York, and Toronto Universities. In Mexico City he has been shown at Galería Patricia Conde, Salón de Arte Bancomer and currently his work is carried by Galería Arte XXI, and in San Miguel at “Centro Cultural Ignacio Ramírez, Galería Magenta, and now CSEIS. His style is defined by art dealer Patricia Conde as “Ludic Expressionism.”
