Gold Like the Sun

By Ezshwan Winding

Using a quote from Antoine Rivarol, “Gold like the sun, which melts wax, but hardens clay, expands great souls,” Victoria Pierce has created a series of new paintings with the common thread of gold. When asked how she works she replied “My art tells me how I am to paint. When it speaks to me I have no hesitation as to where the next brushstroke is to be placed.

Art Opening, Exhibit Gold Like the Sun, Fri, Jun 1, 5-7pm, Espacio Kerlegand 6-C, Fábrica Aurora, 154 8166

Victoria loves abstract art and knows that abstract does not mean arbitrary sloshing and messing. Abstract art is based on design and methodology. A good abstract painting should be a gift to your feelings before your understanding.
Victoria shares Espacio Kerlegand at the Fabrica Aurora with artist Juan Diaz Durand, sculptor Fidelio Herrera and artist Edgardo Kerlegand. All their work can be seen during the week of June 1, 11am-5pm. They are closed on Tuesday.
