Hotel Real de Minas is doing it again: Creating a low-season spectacular to benefit the community with an exciting family event and a boost in tourism while benefiting a local charity, the Santa Julia girls.
Make plans now to come to Fiesta 100 Paellas, a Tenedor Rojo production, either as a guest chef, someone interested in all you can eat, to participate in the silent auction, or simply to enjoy a unique family festival with food, music, prizes, balloons for the kids and surprises! If you know a Santa Julia girl, you can sponsor her way in and enjoy the day alongside her!
In the process, you will have a wonderful day, and the Santa Julia girls will benefit from all of the proceeds of the silent auction and 10 percent of entrance fees and beverage sales. As most of the community is aware, these 40 girls cannot live with their families of origin due to precarious family circumstances.
Entrance fees are free for children under three, and discounted for older children (50 pesos) and adults (130 pesos) until April 30, when the prices will be 80 and 180 pesos, respectively. Tickets are on sale at Solutions (Recreo 11 and Mesones 57), at Hotel Real de Minas (Ancha de San Antonio at Stirling Dickensen), and in the Jardin (Saturdays and Sundays between 10am and 2pm).
Aficionados, students, and chefs are invited to compete in the paella contest free. All they have to do is register at firstname.lastname@example.org with Licenciado Marcos Mercado; bring paella for 60-70 people; and arrive at the hotel to be in place from 1–8pm. The hotel will provide a table, 2 chairs, apparatus to keep the paella warm, and a six-square-foot booth. Participants can decorate their booths and provide any information they want.
Participants at the festival will vote for the 10 best paellas. At the Santa Julia booth, where Chef Madre Rayo of Santa Julia will have paella, the girls will encourage you to vote for her paella!

Santa Julia girls love to help cook and serve meals, and appreciate all that the community does to support their educations so that they can break the cycles of ignorance, poverty and abuse, which have afflicted their families.
