The Music Fest, featuring major label recording artist Mike Sanders, who has played with the likes of Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, is returning to San Miguel after rave reviews from his sold-out concerts here in 2008. Mike’s folk roots run deep and he has a long successful history in the music industry. “I remember my first real gig was touring with the Smothers Brothers and that’s going back a ways… every year something new comes along that just keeps me wanting to play,” Mike commented when recently interviewed.
Joining Mike is an all-star lineup of local talent including: Peter Ross, Tom Driscoll, Billie Rose, John Nunnally, and William Henderson. It’s a cast of performers that is sure to satisfy everyone’s taste in music from folk to blues to world music. This musical extravaganza is set to be one of the “happening” events in San Miguel’s robust season of musical events, so you won’t want to miss it!
Tickets are 300 pesos and all the proceeds go to support Casita Linda. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, which opens at 2pm. Limited amounts of tickets are still available at La Conexión on Aldama or Libramiento, at Longhorn Smokehouse, and at Art Print Express (on Correo 46).
Transportation for the event is set to leave from Fábrica La Aurora. Buses will start returning to Fábrica La Aurora starting at 6:20pm. Tickets may be purchased with the concert ticket at the price of 50 pesos round trip. There is limited parking at the venue so get a bus ticket when you buy your entrance ticket and enjoy the ride.
So put down the paper, grab a couple of friends, and make plans to join us for a great day of music!
