Vudu Chile, arguably San Miguel’s hottest rock and roll dance band, reunite for this very special, two-hour performance (6–8pm). Long-time San Miguel favorite María, is featured singer during the day, while new dance band La Corporacion debuts. Visitors will also be greeted by strolling mariachis and an Estudiantina Tuna Real will entertain during the awards ceremony.
If chili and charros tastings are not enough fare, look out for Mexican specialties (cheap eats) like tamales, chicharrónes and elotes, plus soft drinks, beer and liquor. The new 25-foot Longhorn Smoker will make its debut, and Keith Thompson will sell a variety of its smoked BBQ delights. The ubiquitous, draft horse-pulled San Miguel ice cream cart will sell its own version of treats.
Still looking for more? A fashion show featuring hand-decorated denim jackets made by local artists and designers will be staged mid-afternoon. Every jacket will be on the bid list at the Silent Auction. It will feature an incredible array of items that make the Silent Auction tent a popular visitors spot throughout the viewing and bidding period (1-5 pm).
The San Miguel Sorting Team perform in the Rodeo ring between 2-4:30 pm and kids activities, including face painting, jumpy castle, and donkey rides will be available all day.
